Hope to see you this evening at the Webb Building for the presentation by Tom Hickey, one of the nation’s foremost transit consultants, regarding diesel vs. electric trains on the FasTracks commuter lines. Judy and some of her Council colleagues helped bring Hickey to town. He’ll give an overview of commuter-rail technologies and examine the financial, noise, air, and quality-of-life tradeoffs involved in the electric-v.-diesel debate.

Judy dropped by the Sunnyside Music Festival over the weekend, introducing one of the bands and enjoying one of the last summerlike days of the season.
