If you haven’t registered to vote yet, you only have a few more days; the deadline is October 6. It’s a huge election in Colorado: we’ll be choosing a new president and a new senator while considering 18 ballot questions on subjects ranging from reproductive rights to affirmative action to government spending. We’ll be living with the consequences of all these decisions for quite a while, so make your voice heard. For full information on how and where to register, visit the Denver Elections Division’s website. You can also find out there about early voting, voting by mail, finding your regular Election Day polling place, &c.
If you need to familiarize yourself with the 18 ballot issues, you could check out the Bell Policy Center’s ballot guide. There’s a brief summary on the home page of all 18 questions (and Bell’s positions). From there, you can click through to a one-page summary for each of the 18 ballot issues.
District 9 has an activist reputation; let’s live up to it. Get informed, get involved, and vote!
